About Seattle Cooking Club
We love food. We love eating food, making food, talking about food, thinking about food, dreaming about food. It is a passion for us. Some of our greatest memories are of meals that we have shared with friends and family. The key is the sharing. This is how the Seattle Cooking Club idea was spawned. It is for food lovers such as ourselves to try new books, dust off classics, learn new techniques, and explore different regions of the world through food. Most importantly, it is to ensure that we have fun in the kitchen and cook.
Members will use the same chosen cookbook or blog over the course of two months in their own kitchens. We will make a sampling of the recipes. All members will read and cook from the same source so that the cooking experience, discussion, and foods are a shared experience.
Cooks will then attend a bi-monthly potluck where we bring our favorite dish from what we have sampled. We will discuss the food, the recipes, the source as a whole. Most importantly, we will eat.
Between meetings the Seattle Cooking Club blog will allow members to stay in touch. Members are invited to share their cooking / baking experiences on the blog be it text or photos.
